Summer semester 2026/27 — 4IZ565 and 4IZ583

The two courses run again in the summer semester, taught in English, under their English codes: 4IZ565 Programming for data science in Python (a lecture every week) and 4IZ583 Programming for AI and data science (a lecture every other week). They share one seminar series, exactly as 4IZ566 and 4IZ582 do in the winter — the material is the same, the language of instruction is not. Lectures are given by prof. Ing. Seminars

Four VŠE seminars (Python data stack · supervised learning workflow · language models and embeddings · retrieval-augmented generation), a deep-learning block, and the term-project presentations. Each VŠE seminar is 45 minutes over a Jupyter notebook, 30 minutes of own work on the nbgrader assignment and a 15-minute minitest.

Term project

Teams of two on a classification dataset of your choice, with an opponent review and a defence. For 4IZ583 the project must include an AI component; for 4IZ565 it is an optional extension. Rules and milestones: term project (the dates on that page are the winter ones; the summer dates follow the same pattern from the first seminar).
